Failed leadership and policymaking has kept the vast majority of African countries in poverty. African leaders must take a page out of South Korea’s book and focus on export-oriented industrialization in order to prosper.

In this episode, our host John Akhile, author of Unleashed: A New Paradigm of African Trade with the World, critiques African leadership and its role in Africa’s poverty. John provides examples from successful Asian countries that started from humble beginnings and implores African leaders to start implementing proven economic strategies immediately.
