In order for African countries, in this case Nigeria, to begin to reap the rewards of economic growth and development, they must make it their mission to cut out the problems that continue to inhibit their success.

In this episode, our host John Akhile, author of Unleashed: A New Paradigm of African Trade with the World, shines a light on Nigeria’s past and present circumstances involving corruption. John makes clear that corruption doesn’t solely exist in Nigeria or Africa, but that it is pervasive throughout the world. However, it is how leaders react and deal with that corruption that leads to change.

His range of interest includes fields as diverse from one another as; international trade, real estate and restaurants, demonstrating his keen interest in international affairs and in the cultural underpinnings of society. However his central passion has been the African continent and people, having concentrated on the issues hindering development and growth in African countries for more than more three decades.
